This year will be my first state tournamet, having just picked up squash in September. I'll be playing in the novice division. How many players usually show up for this tournament? How many novices? Since I've been playing regularly for five months, is the novice division the place for me (I'm no natural, pretty average at learning sports)?
I did play in the Indian Summer 2.5/3.0 division and got unceremoniously eliminated in two matches, but that was only after 2 months' experience.
State Championships, what to expect?
There will probably be 60 - 70 signed up. The 2.5 is probably the right Division. I am sure you will have a good time and meet many new players!
